Heathrow

A place where so many adventures started. Pan Am to New York in 1980 with my parents, Hong Kong (Kai Tak) and Manila with Rick, BA from T1 to Istanbul and a new life in 1996, business trips to Phoenix, Singapore, Tokyo, Minneapolis, LA, Frankfurt (a hundred times for sure), the rest of Europe, the Manchester Shuttle, coming back from Australia with mixed emotions. A cancelled trip to Johannesburg (first visit) last February (the ALS had started then). A school trip with Mr Hicks, train to Kings Cross, then the Piccadilly Line; excitement building as Heathrow approached. A place of dreams. A courier flight to Bangkok, Iraqi Air to Delhi via Baghdad in 1989. Today, AA39 to Miami, courtesy of some marvellous people (more to follow).

  1. Will you be in Miami????? I was just there all last week 🙁 Let me know, so at least a phone call is in order to catch up. Weather in Boston is still mild if you feel the itch to come up north 🙂
