Update on the van

Thanks to the generosity of over 100 people we were able to obtain a VW van to transport my powered wheelchair. We have been using the van for local trips, and it has made a huge difference. As I am no longer able to get in and out of normal cars, I need the van to get around. The most frequent destination has been the golf course, followed by visits to the Aquadrome cafe in Rickmansworth.

As you can see from the photos and the video below Sebastian and Valentina have been helping to keep it clean. As Sebastian quite rightly says in the video, it is me, well my wheelchair, that makes it dirty in the back. There is no hiding from the truth.

The van got a good clean inside and out, and after a trip to VW commercial vehicles in High Wycombe, in order to have the glass in one of the mirrors replaced. Thank you VW commercial vehicles.

It is looking great! It’s what we need. Thank you everyone.

  1. Andrew, I thought I should drop you a quick note as it’s been a long time since we last spoke.

I look forward to seeing your posts arrive in my inbox, although your illness is getting progressively worse, your ideas, your motivation and your love for life is truly inspiring.

Keep in touch and I look forward to hearing from you Andrew
