Thank you for all the help you gave me during the four months I was at Forest Care Village. It is probably difficult to appreciate in the busyness of daily life, but you’re doing a good and important job. I learnt about myself, others and the world through you. You helped me get through some tough times. You brought alot to my family. You got a denture out of my throat and helped us when a stray firework hit my eyelid.

Thanks also to the catering, housekeeping and maintenance staff.

I am moving to a care home within a short bike ride of our house, which means our family will be more together.

I will miss Borehamwood, specifically Zevi, Likya, Fiesta, Blue Garden, Cafe at 96, Cafe Nero and the Turkish grocer with the one kilo containers of 10% fat yoghurt.

I will miss one of the residents at 6.30 am calling from the smoking hut, ‘Vasilka, coffee and tea!’

Again, thank you! See you soon,

Andrew

  2. I hope the move flows well. It sounds a great idea for you to be so close and even a bike ride away. Valentina and Sebastian will be able to see you independently and cutting out the driving will work all round. Congratulations everyone who worked on this. What a lot of people you are engaging with! Love Nicky

  5. Good to hear you are moving nearer your family and also good to hear about people. I had an issue with a doctor this week who leant very close to my brother and spoke loudly and slowly ….hmm…my brother is not deaf or senile …he should have known better !! Your father called in the office to see me ….on his way out to a gentlemens’ lunch …on the bus so a glass of wine can be enjoyed . Such a nice man and he asked about my brother …..brightened my day.
Have a good Xmas …Jackie and all the staff at Hudson Moody . X
