Borehamwood Wood 2 Notts County 2

I went to my first live football match in years. 1,201 spectators, tasty burger with onions and mustard in a styrofoam box, sat in the away end with die hard Notts County fan Adam. After a sleepy first half, plenty of passion in the second.

Good to hear a few choice Nottingham accents and some ‘compliments’ to the referee and linesman. Thank you to Christian for dressing me warmly and for Adam for pushing me there and back.

  1. What a good local Cup Tie to go to Andrew sounds fun.Like the pictures and a one off programme for the archive. .

  2. Remember long ago going to a couple of games in Istanbul: Fenerbache v. ManYou – fortunately we were sitting with the Fenerhache supporters as the 200 or so ManYou supporters were pelted with bottles of water the whole game (if I remember correctly, ManYou won 2 -0). Also Duncan sat on his handkerchief as he didn’t want to ruin his stylish trousers. The other was Besiktas v. Sevilla (the crowd was a lot less hostile) and Duncan lost his ‘cep’ phone. I think the score was 4-3…
