I went to my first live football match in years. 1,201 spectators, tasty burger with onions and mustard in a styrofoam box, sat in the away end with die hard Notts County fan Adam. After a sleepy first half, plenty of passion in the second.
Good to hear a few choice Nottingham accents and some ‘compliments’ to the referee and linesman. Thank you to Christian for dressing me warmly and for Adam for pushing me there and back.
What a good local Cup Tie to go to Andrew sounds fun.Like the pictures and a one off programme for the archive. .

fantastic , i’m sure that you had a decent time.
Glad to see the Villa scarf being proudly sported.
Remember long ago going to a couple of games in Istanbul: Fenerbache v. ManYou – fortunately we were sitting with the Fenerhache supporters as the 200 or so ManYou supporters were pelted with bottles of water the whole game (if I remember correctly, ManYou won 2 -0). Also Duncan sat on his handkerchief as he didn’t want to ruin his stylish trousers. The other was Besiktas v. Sevilla (the crowd was a lot less hostile) and Duncan lost his ‘cep’ phone. I think the score was 4-3…
