I’d like to see Jeremy Clarkson pass his comment over that eclectic mix!
I bet the Alfa’s were the most fun to drive and the VW’s reliable and solid.
I drive a VW Passat estate in 2005 when she worked in Hamburg. That car was just so reliable.
I think a list like that Andrew will set off so many comments!
Not sure if you still follow Facebook, but on my feed you may have seen that i attended a combined Birthday party and IBML getogether in London last weekend.
Most of those present I had not seen in 28 years.
As we chatted about absent friends that night, I shared what I knew from your blog and there were many loving comments and wishes sent your way.
Sending love
Daniel
My first car was a Vauxhall Nova, I was driving it about the same time as you had yours. I learned to drive during the 1990 World Cup summer.
Andrew, which one is your favourite?
1. Subaru 2. Alfa 145
You didn’t mention you lived next door to an Allegro – complete with its own curtains. A classic of its time surely?! Lisa X
Pretty sure you’ve missed a very sleek silver Vauxhall Astra circa 1997 from when we were both at IRI!
