Living Abroad

14 years, 6 countries, time to recall now, incredible, did we really do all that?, remember the feeling of swimming in Sydney, cycling in Istanbul, skiing in St Moritz, daily ups and downs, achievements, all the senses, great people,  living different to visiting. It was great. Difficult to use the past tense.

Interesting why we look elsewhere. Something missing!?

I met the woman for me only once I left my life in the UK. You need resilience, adaptability, organisation skills and a sense of humour to move like we did. Jane has all that.

Bamberg to Magagnosc with stops on the way. Grand.

  1. â?¦and lets not forget Miami!!!

I am in the process of booing my flights to Lisbon at end of January with the goal of coming to see you after that meeting (probably around February 2-3).

Does that sound good to you?

  2. Hi Andrew, long time no response from me. I’m reading your blog with great interest and lots of emotions coming up. From my side : 53 years, 1 country, found once the woman of my life, spend 11 beautiful years then lost her to cancer.
Despite your situation, you’re still a lucky man. Don’t trust too much in Jesus, trust in your family and medicine.
    cheers, Thomas

  3. Hello Knol, since I am sat having a drink in the Rocks Sydney..I thought it appropriate to comment on the living abroad post. I have always admired your ability with languages and culture. I still rely on Yorkshire to get me by :). See you soon mate. TC
