Priorities for next year

1. Increasing access to water at schools and early childhood development centres; 2. Better nutrition and malaria control; 3. Construction of school and pre-school infrastructures, with installation of school meals canteens; 4. Sensitisation in favour of rejecting the practice of female genital mutilation. There are four or five others.

These are the priorities for next year for charity Plan for the Kita Kourou area of Mali.

In 2014 Plan achieved some good things: 1. The chief of one village promised to children that he would be vigilant towards issues related to FGM 2. Support was made available for 16 children’s clubs 3. 540 cooking demonstration courses were run 4. There was education about the need to keep human faeces from the water supply. There are four or five others.

We all have our challenges and priorities for next year. The annual update from Plan this morning rather made me stopforamoment and think about my challenges relative to the people in this region.
