School Shop

Have you ever been into a Waldorf school shop? We are lucky enough to have one at our school. Anybody can visit. It is open at drop off and pick up times.

Here are some of the things which I like in the shop. There are marvellous coloured pencils and block crayons. The toys are all made of natural materials, there is wool, books written by authors such as Elsa Beskow, beeswax candles, and greetings cards. Really it’s not like most shops. I think it’s worth a visit. Wherever you live in the world, there may be a Waldorf school shop near you. Perhaps you could go there to buy a present for an upcoming birthday or just a small something for your children.
For our family the world of Waldorf schools is completely normal, but I appreciate that for many readers it is unfamiliar. I would suggest you take a look at one of the shops. If you want me to take you to the one in Kings Langley, then do let me know.

Most of all I like the colours, the smells, the feel and the and the voices of the children, parents and people who run the shop. There is so much enthusiasm.
