There are times when everything can seem too much. It might be a major project at work, it may be a family drama, it might be when your town is under fire in a war or, as in my case, it may be a health matter. I was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in April 2015.
Sometimes, everything does indeed seem too much. So many opinions, so much advice, changes in physical capability.
I have learned that the only way to manage this condition, and to heal myself, is to have complete trust. I have learned that when I trust people then amazing things happen. I guess it is about letting yourself be open to people and their ideas, however different they may be to yours.
I have faith that God will take care of me and my family. Without this I would be lost.
Over the past few months, I have seen incredible kindness, and my faith in the human spirit has been strengthened.
In most human endeavours, we are usually dependent on others to achieve a shared goal. While there may be strategies and plans, things only work out when there is real trust.
