Village Mall

There is nothing better than going to the local shops when visiting somewhere. I ended up at the Village Mall.

After two weeks failing to find some poor soul to cut my toenails the Village Mall, specifically the Nails and Spa Studio, came to my rescue. I had not been to such a place before and have to say it was a pleasant experience; I was very impressed by the thoroughness of the work Nancy did both on the feet and hands. $20 was too little, so I gave $30. As a side note, and written by a latecomer to male pedicure, I recommend it guys.

Next stop was Publix, a supermarket. I bought a few things for Christmas and, as often happens, the total was $10 and 4 cents. I gave $11, but had difficulty putting the 96 cents into my pocket. The Publix guy said he would cover the 4 cents from his own money, and gave me a dollar bill in change. I explained the challenge that visitors have due to the homogenous sizing of the bills. They were interested to know that the bills are different sizes in the UK.  Here are the guys.

  1. Welcome to the US!! I wish we could get down to Miami to see you – it must be quite a change from December in England! You seem to bring out the best in most of the people you touch – who’d have thought clipping toenails could be a happy experience? Hope you have a great time with terrific friends, old and new.
